International Women's Day - Investigating the Issue of FGC

08 Mar 2017

International Women’s Day was celebrated this week on Wednesday 8 March 2017, and so we wanted to highlight an issue that is of importance to hundreds of millions of women around the world.

LSBM was visited this week by three organisations, at the invitation of Usha Mistry, Head of Programme Development at LSBM, to discuss the subject of Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGC), which affects more than 200 million women worldwide, with a further 3.6 million new cases each year.

So, this is a ‘big’ issue in terms of protecting women’s rights, and one which Usha (3rd from the right) wanted to highlight to our growing student body.
