Exceptional LSBM Accounting Student Awarded Prize

09 Feb 2017

Today we are pleased to recognise the hard work of Virginia Marilena Mandachi, an LSBM student, who was awarded a £50 Amazon voucher and a Certificate of Achievement, by Jason Nye (second from the right), Student Recruitment Manager at the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), for being the "Exceptional student at Level 4 on the BA (Hons) Accounting and Financial Management degree" at LSBM,

Asked about her feelings at winning the award, Virginia said:

"It's amazing. I have learned a lot so far at LSBM, have improved my skills and look forward to things getting even better!"

As if to show exactly why she won the prize, when asked what she planned on buying with the Amazon voucher, Virginia said that she wanted to get the book Managing for Success by Morgan Witzel, a book which is all about planning for future success.

(Something which we feel sure that Virginia can count on if she continues to work as hard as she clearly has been!)

We would like to take this opportunity to wish Virginia all the best for her future studies, and also thank Jason Nye from CIMA for coming in today to both present the prize, and for playing host to an interesting CIMA Business Game exercise for two hours, highlighting the wide range of decision making skills that students develop by studying accounting.
